Biography

Yaoyue earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law (UConn Law) in 2024, along with a Tax Law Certificate. She was recognized for her academic excellence with a Merit Scholarship and the CALI Award. Prior to her J.D., she completed an LL.M. at the University of Southern California (USC) with a focus on Business Law and holds a Bachelor of Laws from Soochow University in China. During her studies, Yaoyue was actively involved in leadership roles, serving as UConn Law’s International Student Ambassador and contributing to organizations like the Diversity Alliance and the Connecticut Alliance of International Lawyers.

Yaoyue’s legal experience spans multiple jurisdictions and areas of law. She started her career as Legal Division Counsel in an administrative department in China, where she specialized in regulatory and administrative law. In Los Angeles, she worked as a paralegal, gaining hands-on experience in business and employment law.

Fluent in Mandarin and well-versed in both Chinese and U.S. legal systems, Yaoyue brings a global perspective to her legal practice. Outside of work, she is a talented musician, proficient in piano and the Chinese zither, and enjoys exploring new cultures. In her free time, she loves dancing, hiking, and spending time with her dog and cat.
