Biography
Max focuses his practice on commercial litigation, employment litigation and counseling, creditor’s rights in bankruptcy proceedings, construction law, secured transactions, landlord-tenant disputes, and lien enforcement, including garageman’s and storage facility liens. He represents individuals and businesses of all sizes in a broad range of litigation and business matters.
He regularly advises businesses, governmental entities, and not-for-profit organizations on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and operational matters. His experience includes drafting and negotiating service, licensing, and transactional agreements, as well as assisting clients with economic development initiatives involving industrial development agencies and local development corporations, including incentive transactions, financing arrangements, and lease negotiations.
Max has experience handling a variety of disputes, including contract and construction litigation, mechanic’s liens, bankruptcy matters, shareholder and partnership disputes, and landlord-tenant proceedings. He also counsels employers on workplace issues and defends employment-related claims before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts.
Max earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the State University of New York at Fredonia and received his J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University, where he served as Selections Editor for the Albany Law School Journal of Science and Technology.
