Biography
Charis brings unique experience to her defense of the transportation industry, having spent years behind the wheel of a tractor trailer herself. That firsthand experience shapes how she investigates and litigates transportation and trucking matters today, always mindful of her clients' reputation and exposure.
Since, 2016, Charis has defended transportation companies and their drivers in cases and pre-suit matters ranging from minor incidents to catastrophic collisions. Her interest in the science, and alacrity with the hands-on logistics in connection with accident investigations, led her to pursue formal education on the topic, and in 2022 she was designated an Accident Reconstruction Professional by Northwestern University School of Public Safety. Charis routinely attends accident reconstruction conferences with her experts to stay apprised on the latest crash and technology topics.
Charis' practice encompasses all phases of litigation in the courts of New York and New Jersey, including both state and federal court. She is available to all clients any time of day or night as part of the firm's 24-7-365 emergency response team. Together with our special team of experts and investigators, she ensures mindfulness of evidence preservation and potential liability issues.
With comprehensive criminal and traffic ticket defense experience, Charis also protects the constitutional rights of clients and can advise on and represent companies and drivers in traffic or DOT citation proceedings. Her additional practice areas include premises liability, construction and labor law, and insurance coverage disputes.
