Mr. Linton brings years of experience as partner at one of New York largest law firms. Mr. Linton stated, “I immediately was taken by Gerber Ciano’s technological platform and service model. I knew it would be a difference-maker for my clients.” Mr. Ewell joins from a respected Upstate New York firm with a focus on insurance coverage. At his prior firm, he handled a number of matters for New Jersey-based clients, where he is also admitted. “We are thrilled to add a talented lawyer like John to our Insurance Solutions team,” stated founding partner, Dan Gerber.

About Our New Attorneys

Arlow Linton concentrates his practice within a wide range of liability matters, and has extensive experience in areas such as, construction, transportation, products liability, medical malpractice and premises liability. Additionally, he has considerable experience in defending complex commercial matters, which has allowed him to develop a comprehensive understanding of each claim and a customized strategy to secure the most effective outcome. In 2018, he obtained a directed verdict that included a dismissal on behalf of his client, one of the largest water-treatment companies in the nation. This claim involved a multimillion-dollar contractual dispute involving a fracking project.

Mr. Linton currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors of Young Audiences of Western New York, an organization that offers arts and education to children through a variety of programs since 1962. He is extremely proud of the work the organization does and everything they have accomplished. Young Audiences of Western New York presents hundreds of individual programs, plus dozens of residencies, wherein teaching artists provide schoolchildren, their educators and families, with multi-disciplinary, multi-session education through the arts.

John Ewell is a member of the firm’s Insurance Solutions practice group and focuses his practice on insurance coverage litigation, insurance regulatory, reinsurance and defense litigation. He also advises clients on fraud and material misrepresentation, bad faith and Child Victim Act claims.  Mr. Ewell received his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Buffalo Law School and during his time there, clerked for the Honorable Eugene M. Fahey, Associate Judge of the New York Court of Appeals. He also interned with the United States Attorney’s office.
