
Biography
Liya focuses her practice on the defense of civil liability matters throughout Pennsylvania. She has extensive experience representing clients in a wide range of personal injury cases, including premises liability, automobile accidents, dram shop claims, catastrophic claims, and wrongful death. Liya brings significant jury trial experience in Philadelphia and surrounding counties and is known for her strategic approach and strong courtroom presence.
With a background in insurance defense, Liya has developed a deep understanding of complex litigation and is adept at crafting creative, effective solutions to secure favorable results for her clients. She is involved in every stage of litigation—from pre-suit investigation through trial—and is committed to building meaningful relationships with her clients to ensure their unique goals are understood and met.
Liya earned her B.A. in Political Science from Temple University and her J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School. While in law school, she was honored with the Service Excellence Award, was a member of the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society and Moot Court Honor Society, and received the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Eve Biskind Klothen Law Student Pro Bono Distinction Award.
A passionate advocate for pro bono service and mentorship, Liya volunteers as a mentor for first-year law students and as a coach for a national mock trial competition. She and her family enjoy volunteer work, especially during the holiday season when they adopt a local family in need. Outside the office, Liya loves spending time with her husband and daughter. They are avid Philadelphia sports fans, attending every Eagles home game and Phillies games, spending time at the beach, and traveling.
