David practices in two complementary practice areas. As a litigator,  David represents businesses and individuals in rideshare, motor vehicular, personal injury and premises liability claims, including arbitrations. Prior to joining the firm, David worked for insurance defense firms focusing on businesses and municipalities. His knowledge of litigation in New York (including witnessing first-hand the bad results of poor contracts and planning) complements his extensive experience in estate and trust work. David assists individuals in the preparation of estate planning documents specifically tailored to their individualized needs. He has drafted Wills, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Health Care Proxies for hundreds of clients. David also provides consultation and legal advice for long-term care planning and asset protection for small and large estates, as well as for high net-worth individuals.  

Prior to arriving at Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady, LLP, David assisted in the setup and execution of an online platform providing basic estate planning documents as an alternative to traditional estate planning. David is a frequent presenter educating individuals about proper estate planning (including presentations to public employees in high-risk occupations). He has worked at firms that specialize in estate planning, including the creation of revocable and irrevocable trusts, minimizing government interference in estate administration and providing protection of clients’ accumulated wealth from long-term care costs. David routinely works with CPAs and wealth advisors to develop strategies for comprehensive wealth management.  

David also has experience in family law, real estate transactions, probate and trust administration and representing individual plaintiffs in a wide array of personal injury cases, including hurricane/storm claims.

When David is not working, he travels with his wife and three young children across Upstate New York visiting waterfalls, hiking trails, picking apples, riding horses and pursuing all the opportunities available for his family to make lasting memories.
