Biography
Marvin has over 15 years of experience defending clients in state and federal courts. He represents a wide range of corporate, municipal, and individual defendants in a variety of civil litigation matters, including insurance law, municipal law, construction, premises liability, discrimination, negligence, and product liability claims. Marvin also litigates commercial disputes. Marvin represents several Fortune 500 companies, as well as defending national retailers, property owners, and individuals. Additionally, Marvin navigates complex New York Labor Law litigation for owners, contractors and employers.
Marvin is OSHA 10 certified. This training gives him a unique perspective in recognition, avoidance, abatement and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. He understands the need to zealously represent clients while minimizing the cost of litigation. To that end, he is a skilled negotiator who seeks resolution by regularly representing clients in alternative dispute resolution forums and mediations.
Marvin previously served as outside counsel to a major insurance company. In that role, he defended coverage disputes, vehicular negligence, uninsured motorist claims, and no-fault claims. In addition, Marvin has experience litigating breach of contract matters and negotiating settlements on behalf of general contractors, medical service providers, and alarm companies.
Marvin practices in New York and New Jersey and was named a Rising Star in New York Metro Super Lawyers in 2015-2016. While receiving his juris doctor from Brooklyn Law School, Marvin was the recipient of Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) Excellence for the Future Award in Commercial Paper. He graduated from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey with degrees in Sociology and Administration of Justice.
Marvin is the firm’s first Latino Partner. When not working, Marvin enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. He is also active in his local Parent-Teachers Association

Representative Matters
Represented national retail store in a claim involving alleged serious personal injuries following a slip and fall accident. Marvin obtained summary judgment dismissal of plaintiff’s case in Federal Court.
Represented a pool maintenance company in a product liability/wrongful death action. After engaging in extensive discovery, Marvin obtained a favorable settlement on behalf of the client while the other parties contributed the bulk of a multi-million-dollar settlement.
Represented a national retailer in a trip and fall accident. Marvin established that the condition plaintiff tripped over was open and obvious and not inherently dangerous and obtained summary judgment for his client. The dismissal was upheld on appeal.
