Craigin focuses his practice on insurance defense of corporations and professionals, insurance coverage, employment, and construction.  Over the course of his career, he gained broad knowledge from diverse experience. He is committed to understanding the needs of his clients and building those needs into a comprehensive analysis of the legal issues to generate the appropriate defense.

Previously, Craigin defended clients that include the State of Connecticut, municipalities, corporations, professionals, and transportation companies. He defends claims against employers for discrimination and wrongful termination, as well as medical professionals both in malpractice actions and in licensure actions before state agencies.

Prior to entering private practice, Craigin served as a legal intern under now Justice Andrew McDonald, when he was General Counsel to Governor Malloy. Craigin is consistently looking for ways to contribute to his community.  For years, he volunteered with the Truancy Intervention Project; a program that matches an attorney or law student with a New Britain student to improve the student’s school attendance and investment in learning.  More recently, through Junior Achievement of Southwest New England, Inc.’s volunteer program, he taught middle school students regarding the difficulties of growing up with social media and how to plan for the future in the face of those challenges.

Prior to practicing law, Craigin pursued a career in the film industry.  He was employed as a literary agent in Los Angeles for five years. Beyond his practice of law, Craigin enjoys hiking and traveling with his wife and two sons.  On cold evenings, he can be found inside reading classic literature or history if not arguing about the merits of filmmakers or his favorite films.
