Biography
Stephanie is a conscientious, intellectual, knowledgeable, creative, detail-oriented, analytical, motivated, and battle-tested trial and appellate attorney with nearly 15 years’ experience in all aspects of civil litigation and appellate practice. She has litigated a markedly diverse range of actions, proceedings, appeals, claims, and disputes in both federal and state court, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the New York State Court of Appeals; before administrative bodies, including the New York State Bureau of Conciliation and Mediation, Division of Taxation and the Tax Appeals Tribunal of the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance; as well as in various alternative dispute resolution (ADR) proceedings, including binding arbitrations and court-assisted and private mediations.
Stephanie is a passionate, dedicated, strategic, and tenacious litigator with a notable track record of success, both in and out of the courtroom, obtaining positive outcomes for clients in cases running the gambit from complex commercial litigation – including “bet the company” cases, federal False Claims Act qui tam litigation, and federal and state class action lawsuits – to property disputes and simple negligence actions. Stephanie’s practice has an emphasis in complex/commercial litigation and appellate work, but she is readily adaptable to clients’ needs and always prepared and eager to take on and master new subject matter as required to succeed in a case.
Stephanie brings an auspicious record of achievement to the firm, attributable to her personal investment in clients’ cases, exquisite attention to detail, thorough and conscientious research and preparation, exceptional capacity for complex legal analysis, innovative thinking, faculty for development of novel legal arguments, along with exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
Stephanie lives with her husband, rescue dog, and rescue cat. She has always had a passion for animal rescue and enjoys spending most of her free time in her backyard, spending time by the pool with her family, boating out on the water, camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities. She is passionate about music (though not musically talented herself) and enjoys home renovation.
