
Biography
Pierre focuses his practice on insurance coverage litigation and has substantial experience with issues arising out of Commercial General Liability policies, including premises liability, negligence, or construction-related claims. His past work has included issues of additional insured coverage, contractual indemnification, and priority of coverage, as well as motion practice and discovery. Pierre has worked for another respected insurance coverage law firm in Buffalo. He has also interned for an insurance non-profit in California, the corporate department of a large insurer in Hartford, and a prominent professor of insurance law in Philadelphia.
Pierre has also done considerable work in the field of life expectancy expertise for litigation, both as a consulting attorney and as an expert witness, in the U.S. and Canada, and has presented at professional conferences to actuaries and physicians
Pierre received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, where he served as an associate editor of the Journal of Law and Social Change and was a member of the Penn Law Reproductive Rights group. He was also a teaching assistant for the course ‘Analytical Method and the Law’. He subsequently earned an LLM in Insurance Law from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
When away from the practice of law, Pierre is an avid chess player and wine enthusiast.
