John has been practicing for over 35 years and is part of our General Litigation, Transportation and Construction practice groups.
John began his career as an associate in a well-known medical malpractice defense firm where he learned and honed his litigation skills. Thereafter he joined the insurance legal industry and for nearly 30 years was a litigator, head of trial teams and office leader of a major in-house litigation firm. John handles all aspects of litigation from inception through trial. He excels at early case analysis and the development of strategy focused on bringing matters to a cost effective and successful resolution. John understands that listening to the client, knowing their business and understanding their goals is the only way to resolve cases to their satisfaction.
John’s experience in-house gives him a unique perspective and understanding of the needs of the insurance industry. He has handled first-party claims including fraud investigations, arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association involving issues such as PIP, APIP and UM/SUM coverage claims. He is also experienced in third party claims with a focus on general litigation, transportation and premises liability matters. As the head of various trial teams John is a go to person for his colleagues and clients regarding strategy, exposure analysis and litigation tactics.
During his free time, John enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and attending cultural events.
