Privacy Policy

Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady, LLP (“GERBER CIANO”) is committed to respecting the privacy rights of all users of our website. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) sets forth GERBER CIANO’s policies regarding the collection and use of information via www.gerberciano.com (“Site”). The public areas of this Site are generally accessible by all users; however, non-public areas of the Site are only accessible by users who have been authenticated and granted permission by GERBER CIANO to use the non-public areas of our website (“Private Site”). By visiting this Site or using the Private Site, you consent to GERBER CIANO’s collection, use, storage, deletion, and disclosure of information relating to you as set forth in this Policy.

Information You Give Us

GERBER CIANO does not collect personal information unless you voluntarily provide it to us. We do collect Usage Data (as described below) and other information related to use of the Site and Private Site. We also collect certain types of profile information when a user account is created for any non-public areas of our website. The following sections describe the type of information we collect, how we collect it, and how we use it.

Public Areas of the Site

All users may visit the public areas of the Site without being asked to disclose personal information about themselves. However, users will have the opportunity to request information from GERBER CIANO, or to otherwise interact on or with the Site, in which case an email or other address or contact information may be collected to allow GERBER CIANO to comply with the request, and for other purposes as may be disclosed at the time the request is made, or otherwise, as set forth in this Policy.

We may contact U.S. residents about issues unrelated to your reason for accessing our website, including lawyer advertising. Your continued use of the Site or Private Site may be used as evidence of your express consent to be contacted by us, unless you expressly opt-out of receiving such contact.

For all non-U.S. residents, we will take reasonable steps to avoid contacting you for purposes unrelated to your business relationship with GERBER CIANO (if any) or other contact expressly requested by you. Your use of the Site or Private Site may be used as evidence that you opt-in to being contacted by us, including lawyer advertising. Non-U.S. residents should be mindful that our business and website are located within the United States and you should refrain from using the Site or Private Site should you have any concerns over this Policy, your privacy or our use of personal information.

Authenticated User Information

To participate in the Private Site areas of the website, users must be granted permission to use the Private Site by GERBER CIANO and provide certain profile information, which may include (for illustration purposes only) user ID, password, name, title, department, your company’s name, mailing address, phone number, fax number, email address, and website address (“Profile Information”). GERBER CIANO does not collect user social security numbers or other personally identifiable information as Profile Information. Upon completion of a profile, users with permission to use the Private Site will be authenticated in a manner determined by GERBER CIANO in its sole discretion (“Authenticated Users”).

GERBER CIANO may suspend, revoke, or withdraw permission granted to an Authenticated User at its sole discretion and without notice, as deemed necessary for the administration of the Private Site, including, but not limited to, violation of this Policy or other policies posted within the Private Site.

GERBER CIANO may use Profile Information to communicate with Authenticated Users regarding the operation of and changes to the Private Site. GERBER CIANO may disclose the Profile Information of an Authenticated User to administrators and/or other parties who are designated by such Authenticated User (through such Authenticated User’s use of the Private Site or otherwise). We do not sell Profile Information to others for the purposes of advertising or monetary gain.

Usage Data

Our servers automatically track certain information about visitors who use our Site and Private Site. This data may include a user’s domain name, type of browser and operating system, Internet service provider, Internet protocol (IP) address, the website from which they arrived at the website, the amount of time spent on the website or the ways in which they use the Site or the Private Site (collectively “Usage Data”).

GERBER CIANO will monitor and use Usage Data in aggregated form to measure website performance, activity, and to improve design and functionality. This statistical or other information is not used by GERBER CIANO to identify individual users visiting the public areas of the Site. This non-identifying information may include, for example, the patterns, trends, preferences, and other collective characteristics of our users and Authenticated Users. Use of this information helps us evaluate and tailor our communications, lawyer advertisements, and general business practices to the needs of our users and Authenticated Users. We may share Usage Data with other parties for the purpose of analyzing website performance, activity, and to improve design and functionality. We do not sell Usage Data to others for the purposes of advertising or monetary gain.

GERBER CIANO may also use Usage Data in unaggregated form to investigate and prosecute security violations.
